We love our public library

Our wonderful public library is about a two minute walk from our house.  We do our best to take full advantage of all it offers, including a fantastic children's librarian who has some great programs.

We attend weekly story time and use preschool learning software on the computers.  We check out books and play in the children's section with the cool toys.  This summer, Mini Me and I went to the "read and feed" program.  We hiked across the street with our picnic lunch.  Sitting on a blanket, we ate our lunch and listened to the librarian read us books.

It was relaxing and I had a wonderful little 'date' with Mini Me.  Perhaps we'll start to incorporate a book into our porch picnics and turn those fun times into a 'read and feed'.

Afterward, we played in the library garden and ran and ran and ran across the bridge.  I'm so thankful for our public library, and also thankful for the conveniently close proximity to our house!

  1. I hear ya! Our kiddos love the library as well. We don't live as close as you do (which must be awesome!)but we go about 1-2x per week to listen to stories, participate in the summer reading program, play with the toys and of course check out some new books. I'm so thankful that where I live has such a nice library!
