Red color pail fun
Green color pail fun
Our blue pail provided us many fun activities:
Blue water transfer:
On one of our last warm days I used food coloring to dye some water blue, and set up small "tables" on the patio with bowls of blue water and other various cups, scoops, and containers. I tried to use as much blue as possible.
Both children thoroughly enjoyed scooping, dumping, and experimenting with the blue water.
Look! A blue hand! She loved seeing her hand turn blue.
It wasn't long until they figured out that it was fun to put blue water onto our chalk drawings, too.
And here is how it ended up... all the blue water on the patio. We had a lot of fun!
Blue couch cushion climb:
This time we did a couch cushion climb it was much more successful than the first time. I put some of the objects from our blue pail around the couch cushions and had Little Lady crawl around. She figured out right away to dive for the blue items and stash them back in our color pail.
We spent forty five minutes diving, rolling, bouncing, and laughing on the cushions. Do you know how long that is in toddler time?
We had way too much fun.
Blue pudding paint
The pudding turned an unfortunate shade of green (turquoise?) but it was enthralling nonetheless. We smeared, patted, touched, tasted, sucked off the blue toys, and in general had a really fabulous time.
Blue Balloon Bop
This burns oh-so-much energy and is interesting for a long time! "Bop, bop, bop the blue!"

Love these activities, especially the blue couch climb!
