Artificial flowers: a winter garden for a toddler

A basket of miscellaneous artificial flowers can bring some outside fun to our house on a cold winter day.

It is great small motor practice for Little Lady when she pokes the stems into the holes on the basket.  She does a fabulous job at "planting" a garden.

Packed full of beautiful blooms!

As always, Mini Me is creative as he tries to stick a bouquet he gathered into the basket handle so we can all admire it for the day.

Also per normal, Little Lady tries to sit on, climb, or stand on something....

Together we all worked to group the flowers.  Here are the red flowers and the not red flowers.

We made a pattern: red, white, red, white.

Sometimes muffin tins help us sort things out a little better.

Is anyone else humming Artificial Flowers by Bobby Darin and imagining Kevin Spacey, or is it just me?    ;)
