and for Little Lady, these sets of sensory finger puppets.
My sweet little handmade gifts got a little lost in the shuffle of other Christmas gifts and visits to family. But, once we got home and had some time to really examine and play with them, the kids fell in love.
| You will notice in this photo that a remote control car and a noisemaker stick are being utterly ignored... that is huge. |
Mini Me discovered that we now have a pig and an elephant finger puppet, which means that we can reenact his beloved Piggy and Gerald stories by Mo Willems. So we did just that - he held the book while I acted it out with puppets, then we switched.
Little Lady had to try on every finger puppet and every hand puppet, then take several laps around the house with them. The first finger puppet she tried on was the lion, so we made rooooaaaarrrrring noises. After that, every finger puppet she used made a roaring noise, even the giraffe and the bird!
I can't wait to see what fun games we will play with our puppets next!

It's fun to see what actually becomes the favorite gifts after Christmas day. Your photos are so cute!
ReplyDeleteWe love Mo Willems books too, though I don't think I've read those stories.
